Code of Ethics
JOURNAL CODE OF ETHICS
The journal's code of ethics establishes essential norms and practices to regulate interactions among the various actors of the academic community, in order to improve communication and strengthen mutual respect in a collaborative environment. In turn, the code prohibits any behavior contrary to academic integrity, such as plagiarism, falsification of data, and misuse of information.
These ethical principles ensure that the relationships between authors, reviewers, editors and readers are based on transparency and respect for originality, protecting confidence in scientific results and promoting a community committed to excellence.
- Authorship and contribution. At the time of publication, the author will receive the corresponding credit for his/her work, recognizing his/her effort and scientific contribution. In the case of collaborative works, all authors will receive the respective rights and credits for their contribution, guaranteeing an equitable representation of all those involved in the research. This commitment seeks to promote respect and transparency in the recognition of authorship.
- Data and reproducibility. To ensure the transparency and accessibility of the information, the complete content of the journal is available on the following websites: https://revistacon-secuencias.com and https://revistas.ues.edu.sv/ind/ex.php/rcs. This access facilitates the consultation and verification of data, promoting reproducibility and contributing to the scientific rigor that we support in each publication.
- Ethical oversight. To ensure ethical compliance, the journal requests that manuscripts comply with the requirements of the Author Guidelines. In addition, authors' consent is required for data collection and storage in accordance with the journal's policies, especially under the Open Access scheme and the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, which allows content to be shared without modification and without commercial purposes. This approach reinforces transparency and free access to information.
- Intellectual Property. According to the Intellectual Property Law of El Salvador, authors have exclusive rights over their works from the moment of their creation, without the need for recognition by an administrative authority. These rights are maintained during the life of the author and are extended for an additional 70 years after his death. In this sense, Revista Con-Secuencias grants the corresponding copyrights to all authors and co-authors of published articles. These rights allow third parties to use the works, as long as the corresponding credit is given to both the authors and the publishing house.
- Peer review process: It is carried out through the double-blind peer review system, which guarantees impartiality by keeping the identity of both authors and reviewers anonymous. This method allows articles to be evaluated exclusively for their content and academic quality, minimizing biases and favoring a fair and transparent review.
