Authors must register in the journal before publishing or, if they are already registered, they can simply log in.

PERIODICITY. The Revista Con-Secuencias is a four-monthly journal, with the following updates: January to April; May to August; and September to December.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Title: It should be between five and fifteen words long, describing the content of the paper. The text should be written in sentence type, that is, only the first letter should be capitalized.

Abstract: It will contain the purpose of the article, the main results, the most important conclusions, it will be written in the past tense, with an extension between 100 and 300 words depending on the length of the document (in Spanish and its translation into English).

Key words: Write five key words obtained from thesauri (in Spanish and English).

 

SUBMISSION OF ORIGINAL PAPERS

Research articles submitted to the Journal for publication must be unpublished, i.e., they must not have been published previously and must not have been submitted to any other publisher.

Papers should be submitted in Microsoft Word format. The content should use Times New Roman 12 point font, with double spacing and justified text. The length of research articles should be: minimum 10 pages and maximum 50 pages.

Formulas should be written in Cambria Math, and those containing only text in Times New Roman size 12.

It will be structured as follows: chapters will be ordered in Roman numerals, and subtitles in Arabic numerals. The subtitles will not be in Roman numerals. The subtitles will not exceed three levels, i.e., 1. Subtitles, 2. Sub-subtitles and 3 Sub. sub-titles.

 

Tables, Figures and Graphics

In the text only include tables, figures and graphs, they will be self-explanatory, it is not necessary to do so in the text, they can be cited in the text by pointing out the corresponding number with the referred mention, for example; Table 9.

Explanatory notes can be placed at the end of each table or graph if necessary; the complete source should be written if it is taken from another author, as well as if it is self-made.

Figures include diagrams, maps and photographs. Each figure should be headed with the expression Figure and, on the following line, the title, both in lower case. The source of the information should be indicated at the end, if it is the author's own. The title and source should be placed outside the main box or at the bottom. They should be presented in JPG format, numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. Example: Figure 7.

 

Acronyms and abbreviations

Acronyms are formed with the letters of the first words, for example: United Nations Organization (UN), they are capitalized, but when it is a long word -more than four letters- capitalize the initial letter, for example, Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation (Laser).

The acronym is formed with the first syllables of the names, for example, Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (Conacyt), is written with initial capital letter and the rest in lower case.

 

Textual quotations

The textual quotation when it has less than forty is enclosed in quotation marks, when it has more, it is written in a separate paragraph with indentation to the left, single spaced, with a space before and after the paragraph. Suspensive points in textual quotations are written between parentheses (...). Quotations can be narrative or in parentheses.

 

Notes and references

Notes should be placed at the foot of the page and references at the end of the document and only those used in the text should be written, alphabetically ordered by author, and by each author in chronological order from the oldest to the most recent. Bibliographical references and bibliography should be in accordance with APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association).

 

REVIEW AND PUBLICATION PROCESS

Those articles that have passed the Online Double Blind review process will be published. In this system, the identity of the authors remains anonymous to the reviewers, just as the identity of the reviewers is hidden from the authors. This methodology guarantees the objectivity of the evaluation process and minimizes possible biases that could arise if the identity of the authors were known.

Papers accepted for publication will be subject to editorial modifications, and will undergo proofreading. Once proofread, substantial changes to the text by the author will not be allowed.

Articles submitted for publication must comply with the above instructions, otherwise they will not be considered for publication.
