Políticas de preservación digital

Editorial Nuevo Enfoque is committed to the long-term preservation and conservation of all scientific content published in the journal Con-Secuencias (ISSN: 2791-1160). To ensure the integrity, availability, and readability of content in the face of potential technological changes or infrastructure failures, the following measures are in place:

1. External preservation (PKP-PLN)

The journal is integrated into the PKP-PLN (Preservation Network). This digital preservation system, based on LOCKSS technology, allows permanent and decentralized archives of the journal to be created in a worldwide network of nodes. This ensures that, in the event that the journal ceases publication or the website suffers a prolonged outage, the articles remain accessible to the academic community.

2. Internal preservation and security

The publisher maintains a strict data security protocol that includes:

          - Regular backups: Biweekly backups of the database and full-text files are made on local servers
            and secure storage systems.

          - Preservation formats: Articles are stored in PDF format, an open document standard that
            guarantees long-term readability regardless of software updates.

          - Data integrity: The editorial team monitors server stability to prevent file corruption and
            ensure continuous access to the OJS platform.
